Karibu Kenya

Welcome to Kenya!

Those are the words of many who realized I'm a foreigner "Karibu Kenya!" Welcome to Kenya. Soon those words will permeate the ears of our volunteers too.

I spent most of the day resting from jet lag. I adventured out to the market to collect some much needed necklaces and jewelry. I took some photos of the beautiful market, especially the flower area which I love checking out. I also coordinated the safari for the volunteers, which will take place the second weekend of their trip. They will be traveling to lake Naivasha and Lake Nakuru, for a two day safari on the Western region. What a wonderful time they will have!

Tomorrow Dan will be meeting me in the morning to prepare for the volunteers, who we will be picking up at 7pm. I'm so excited to see familiar faces in Kenya, both in Dan's and in the volunteers.

We are both so thrilled to have these dedicated students come to Kenya and make these projects happen.

Until tomorrow!
